Primary Location: United States (US) - Illinois - East Moline Function: Product Engineering (CA) Title: Engineer, Software - 122910 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position ## Your Responsibilities As a Engineer, Software for John Deere Research & Development Center located in East Moline, IL, you will: * Develop Gen5 display software using C++ and Qt/QML in an embedded Linux environment * Design, develop, and maintain Model-Based Software Design (MBSD) solutions utilizing MATLAB/Simulink for automation and embedded functionalities based on established architecture and design specifications. * Implement features and resolve defects following defined requirements * Participate in code reviews, testing, and software integration * Collaborate with systems, PV&V, and senior engineers VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position ## What Skills You Need * Experience with C or C++, or MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow. * Exposure to embedded Linux or real-time systems * Strong problem-solving and communication skills ## What Makes You Stand Out * Experience with embedded Linux, real-time systems, or distributed systems * Proficiency in Qt/QML, Python, or MATLAB/Simulink * Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or equivalent * Internship or EDP experience in embedded software development ## Education Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field What You'll Get At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
