Process Engineer - Clinton, IA
This is an exempt/non-exempt level position.
Position Summary: The Plant Process Engineer will apply engineering principles to new and existing operations with tasks ranging from process design to the evaluation of new technologies. This includes using technical knowledge and communication skills to ensure that safety, quality, and cost objectives are achieved.

Position Summary: The Plant Process Engineer will apply engineering principles to new and existing operations with tasks ranging from process design to the evaluation of new technologies. This includes using technical knowledge and communication skills to ensure that safety, quality, and cost objectives are achieved.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with company expertise and technology partners. Apply innovative approaches as joint effort with Production and Maintenance
- Assist new product development and new technology assessment
- Support capital projects and startups, including the ten core Process Engineering competencies
- Develop process simulation models to fundamentally understand and benchmark performance
- Partner with Production to implement and transfer advanced process control (APC) and optimization applications
- Act as a resource and networking point for engineering colleagues through coaching, mentoring, and training
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to develop standard plant performance metrics and maximize shareholder value
- Drive standards for engineering excellence to new levels; capture and propagate best practices
- Develop communication and teamwork skills across functional and divisional boundaries. Potential interactions include but not limited to: safety, production, management, project engineering, energy, cost accounting, process control, commercial, vendors, partners, maintenance, legal, inter-department, inter-plant, research, and corporate resources
- Strong commitment to working safely, the safety of others, and safe design
- Dedication to continuous improvement and building new skills
- Experience with process control, including FLEX and APC
- Willingness to spend time in plant areas – tolerate extreme temperatures, walk long distances, stand, climb stairs and ladders and move through close spaces
- Ability to work effectively on both co-located and geographically dispersed teams
- General knowledge of codes, relevant standards and materials of construction
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 5+ years’ experience with plant process systems, but will consider New Graduate Engineers for this role
- Preferred Delta V, D3
