Process Analyst for Plant Applications – Decatur, IL or Erlanger, KY
This is an exempt level position.
Position Summary:
The Business Process Analyst – Plant Applications serves as the primary liaison between plant operations, supply chain, and Information Technology to ensure the organization's Plant Applications effectively supports business objectives. This role partners with stakeholders to analyze business processes, gather and document requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement, and deliver technology solutions that optimize plant logistics and lab processes.
As a Process Analyst on the Plant Applications team, you will bridge the gap between operational facility workflows and internally developed software applications. In this entry-level role, you will partner with senior analysts, software developers, and the business to analyze, document, and support proprietary software systems that enable and support production facilities.
The successful candidate will have prior knowledge and experience the Plan to Deliver Process area.

Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with Systems Analysts and operational teams to gather requirements, conduct on-site facility surveys, analyze operational data, and define solution options.
- Support the design, documentation, and standardization of operational processes and functional workflows in alignment with enterprise governance standards.
- Assist in creating detailed functional designs, evaluating fit/gap analyses, and identifying cross-process system dependencies.
- Collaborate with process owners to define use cases, establish process KPIs, and support business case development.
- Create test cases and participate directly in Product Testing (PT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new builds and enhancements.
- Support remote and on-site application deployments, user training, go-live execution, and post-implementation handoffs to support teams.
- Provide functional troubleshooting for escalated operational issues, audit requests, and role-based security configurations.
- Provide project status updates, resource estimates, and input into application roadmap planning.
- 0–2 years of experience in a business/process analyst role, technical support capacity, or plant/logistics operational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, map business processes, and communicate functional needs clearly to development teams.
- Experience writing or executing test scripts and participating in user testing (PT/UAT).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders ranging from plant floor operators to business leadership.
- High adaptability with proven organizational and time-management skills to balance evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel 10–20% (domestically and internationally) for on-site facility surveys, testing, and go-live implementations.
- Flexibility to work occasional off-hours, weekends, or varied shifts as needed during project go-lives and implementation cutovers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent IT/business degree.
- Basic proficiency with SQL (querying databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or MariaDB) to inspect backend logistics data.
- Exposure to Linux operating system
- Basic familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and reporting formats (RDLC/XML).
- Familiarity with process flowcharting tools (e.g., Visio).
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- General knowledge of manufacturing logistics, yard management, or facility vehicle flow.
