Material Handler 3rd Shift - Erlanger, KY
Position Purpose
The Material Handler is responsible for performing all assigned duties necessary to safely handle, manufacture, and prepare quality products for shipment to ADM customers. This position plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read, understand, and follow instructions provided on shipping reports and order headers.
- Complete required transactions using terminal software and handheld scanners.
- Follow ISO 9001, GMP, and HACCP procedures.
- Pull orders for shipment and transfer materials between locations.
- Perform shipping functions, including product labeling and verifying customer orders prior to shipment.
- Load and unload trucks safely and accurately.
- Create bills of lading and maintain accurate shipping documentation.
- Follow all IATA/DOT compliance regulations.
- Maintain inventory record accuracy of 96% or higher.
- Support a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Supervision
This position operates under moderate supervision and requires strong attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to work independently.
Work Experience & Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; degree in a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or transportation preferred.
- Experience with barcode scanning systems.
- Stand-up forklift experience required.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform material handling duties in a warehouse environment.
Work Environment
- Warehouse and office setting.
- Must follow all ADM safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Employment Requirements
