Maintenance Technician A - Dawson, GA
This is a full-time, hourly W2 position. R71
Schedule: 7:00am until released. Typically 4:00pm. Will work overtime, weekends, and be on call as needed.
Pay: Starting pay for Maint A is $30.00 an hour - may vary if selected for Maint B or Maint C

Some things you will do as a Maintenance Tech at Golden Peanut:
  • Conducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintain a safe work record.
  • Maintains a good attendance record
  • Respond to requests to address and diagnose operation mechanical problems where equipment is not operating correctly
  • Disassemble, repair, replace, rebuild, and install mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications
  • Perform regular inspections of production equipment and performing preventive maintenance duties
  • Collaborate with management and other colleagues in decisions concerning maintenance problems regarding equipment
  • Fabricate parts for use in maintenance and/or electrical tasks
  • Weld parts for use in maintenance and/or electrical tasks
  • Perform semi-skilled to unskilled labor duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of various equipment
  • Provide on-call coverage
  • Responsible for ensuring work area is kept clean
  • Order and inventory parts, equipment and/or tools as assigned by lead
  • Job purpose is to minimize unscheduled losses and improve reliability
  • Maintains good housekeeping and completes sanitation duties and paperwork as required.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual inspections, reporting any problems noted.
  • Willing to be trained to work various jobs within the facility
  • Maintain documentation required to perform job duties
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management

  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • That you are at least 18 years of age or older
  • The ability to work overtime and be on call as needed including weekends
  • That you maintain excellent attendance (being on time, working when scheduled, staying until your shift ends)
  • Demonstrates the ability to be observant and to address concerns that may arise
  • 4+ Years of Industrial Maintenance experience in a factory
  • Mechanical Aptitude is a must. Be able to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment and will need welding and fabrication experience.
  • The ability to work above ground level on grated flooring and climb stairs/ladders
