Gearbox/Rotating Equipment Repair Tech - ADM Mechanical, Decatur, IL
This is a full-time, hourly, entry to mid-level position, depending on experience.
Pay Rate: $29.93 - $35.69/hour, based on experience.
Shift: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm plus opportunity for overtime

- Disassemble equipment to remove parts and make repairs
- Examine parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wear
- Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning parts
- Clean, lubricate or adjust parts.
- Repair or maintain the operating conditions of the rotating equipment to OEM specifications
- Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections or repairs
- Record repairs and maintenance performed
- Study blueprints or manufacturers’ manuals to determine correct repair and assembly
- Record parts or materials used
- Accurately documenting failure analysis and repair steps taken
- Test run equipment after repair and take vibration readings
- Able to work safely in a team environment and be quality conscience
- Able to climb stairs and ladders, sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Able to use precision measuring tools including but not limited to, Vernier calipers, OD Micrometers, ID Micrometers, Bore Gauges, and dial indicators.
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to read and interpret blueprints
- Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
- Display strong communication skills (oral and written)
- High school diploma/GED is required
